I’ve always loved making things with my hands. At just 11 years old, I joined a small card-making club at school, and that’s where it all began. What started with simple paper and glue quickly became a passion for turning blank pages into meaningful keepsakes.

After school, I taught myself through tutorials, experimenting and refining my craft with every new design. At 12, I created my very first explosion box for my parents’ 21st anniversary! A gift so special they still keep it to this day.

In 2013, I began sharing my handmade cards on Facebook, never imagining how far it would go. Orders followed, messages poured in, and a small hobby grew into a community of handmade card lovers across Malta.

As my Facebook page, Handmade Cards by Mariah, began to grow, Luca quietly became part of the journey, supporting
the brand behind the scenes and encouraging every step forward.

Together, we turned Handmade Cards by Mariah into Marii & Co, transforming
a simple page into a growing brand. While every card is still designed and
handmade by me, Marii & Co is built on shared belief, support, and a genuine love for what we do.

Now, with the launch of our online shop, we’re excited to share our creations with you, cards made to surprise, connect, and be remembered.
